Welcome To My Blog!

In 2024, I trained to become a volunteer education naturalist with the City of Boulder. Now, I lead school field trips focused on the ecology, geology, and history of local prairies, wetlands, and ponderosa pine forests. In winter, I visit classrooms to share information and safety tips about local wildlife. These programs are another way I help foster children’s curiosity, connection, and gratitude toward nature.

Ongoing naturalist trainings continue to fill my head with new information and my heart with expanding wonder and appreciation. In this blog, I’m excited to share some of my musings and discoveries, plus showcase new animal picture books and their ties to Next Generation Science Standards.
